Welcome to our New Adventure

I accepted a position in Montana. I am currently living in Washington so this is my account of the new adventure and changes in my family's life. I hope you enjoy reading and maybe even finding it helpful if you choose to make such a huge change in your life. It may bring to light things that you will need to be prepared for.

God in heaven is our strength, encourager, and guide on this trip. I look forward to His involvement in every detail along the way.

The Beginning of Our Time In Montana

Well, here we are in Glendive Montana.  I wasn't too sure how I was going to like it here, but once we arrived I realized the town was a bit bigger than what I remembered and it is actually wonderful here.  The storms are cool to watch.  The sun gets really warm, but the evening has cool breezes that are awesome ! So far, I just love my job and all the people that I work with.  They all seem to get along and they are all so much fun to talk too.  I have so much work to do, there is much to prioritize and much to organize.

There is a park just 4 blocks away where the children get to walk to and play, we meet so many people there and everyone is so nice.  The high school track is across the street from the park.  On our way to the park (4 blocks) we have to stop and let the wandering deer pass as they prance through town - so cool !  There are hardly any cars driving on the streets, and I don't think rush hour traffic ever happens here (LOL).

I walk to work every day - it is one house away.  I come home for lunch and spend it with my blessings.  It is so relaxing here even with all the work to do.  I feel so at peace.  This is wonderful ! After all those years of working so hard and putting in so many hours, this is wonderful ! Just two days here and my boss already wants to send me to a 3 day convention in Billings for the Hospital Association.  I wish I could go, but my blessings here, I have no one to leave them with.  I can't wait until my hubby gets here and I can join the management staff on these educational trips.

Day by Day and moment by moment, this place certainly will find favor in my heart.  The big or huge blue sky shows all sort of awesome weather and beautiful rainbows.  It is quite spectacular here.

Moving Sale Over and Preparing for Journey

The moving sale is finally over.  That was much more work then I thought it would be.  I am onward to purging things from my home.  Wow, what you collect over the years, can blow you away.  Hidden in the back of all your closets or the dark closets in the attic can be so many things you have forgotten about but never gotten rid of.   This move has already helped us to have a better life, by purging out the excess things from our lives and streamlining our way of living, what a true blessing in its own way.   With five children and hand-me-downs, it seems like I have certainly become a pack-rat.  So no more of this saving everything I touch and own, it is onward towards necessities and the future needs for my family.

Moving may be a huge adventure, but it certainly has its positive sides.  I look forward to the next few days and seeing our current home unfold into an empty shell for another family to fill.  The next adventure at home will be my sweetheart finishing up the painting, roof, and trim to get the house ready to sell.  I will keep you informed on the progress.

Plus we leave on Thursday to Montana -how exciting.  Looking forward to the trip.

Getting Ready for the Adventure

Wow !  God is so amazing how he works so quickly and in a blink of an eye can change all your plans for your future.  We never know where our lives can lead us - until it happens.

We are now packing the house contents.  There are so many things we gathered over the past 12 years.  It is quite over-whelming.  There are 12 rooms to organize and prepare for moving.  I love to organize things, and go through old stuff, but this is such a short time (2 weeks) that it can certainly make you feel rushed.

I look forward to when I begin to drive to Montana our new town and our new home.  The children are excited and I am sure this will be an amazing adventure.
